Water levels in the Eastern Yar continue to fall steadily. In the last 24 hours the level at Alverstone has fallen by 0.1m. At Sandown, the river has fallen by 0.04m in the same time period. The weather is now mostly dry for the next 5 days. With virtually no rain forecast in that time, the river now has a good chance to recover. As water levels return to normal, any minor flood impacts should reduce significantly over the next few days. We will continue to monitor the river and weather forecast information.
