Groundwater flooding in the Cranborne Chase area

Flood alert

Groundwater levels have risen and remain high due to previous rainfall. They are expected to start dropping within the next 5 days. There is no rainfall predicted for the next 2 days with small totals possible from Thursday 6th March into the weekend. Flooding of fields and roads is possible. Areas most at risk include: the Iwerne and the Pimperne Brook areas. Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed. We will continue to monitor the situation closely. This message will be updated by 12:00 PM on 11/03/2025.
