River levels are slowly falling but still remain high due to the previous rainfall. We are continually monitoring the situation and the river levels.
All areas between Ringwood and Christchurch could be affected and include all tributaries. Flooding of roads and low lying land is possible.
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car.
This message will be updated by 4:00 PM on 17/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
